DR. KIMBERLY REICHENBACH

OTD, OTR/L 

As the owner and director of Bright Star OT & PT Dr. Kimberly Reichenbach, OTD, OTR/L, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice. With a Post-Professional Doctorate of Occupational Therapy and Graduate Certification in Research, Teaching, and Learning, Dr. Reichenbach has dedicated over 25 years to serving children in school-based occupational therapy.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Reichenbach is deeply committed to education, collaboration, and empowerment. As an adjunct professor at Touro University, she shares her expertise with the next generation of occupational therapists. She also works closely with school district administrators to develop and implement programs tailored to the specific needs of their students and staff. In addition, she provides professional development training for staff and parents throughout school districts across Long Island, NY—fostering understanding and support for staff and students’ unique needs.

Lead Occupational Therapist 

Vanessa Migliozzi, M.S., O.T.R./L., A.T.S.

Vanessa Migliozzi, M.S., O.T.R./L., A.T.S. is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience. Her pediatric background includes work in preschool and school-based settings, outpatient sensory gyms, and private practice, with a strong emphasis on sensory integration. 

Vanessa has developed and implemented Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) programs for kindergarten classrooms, individualized sensory protocols and diets, and the design of sensory rooms, sensory corners, and school sensory paths. She has also provided parent training and professional development workshops for faculty and staff across multiple school districts on Long Island, New York. 

Vanessa holds an Assistive Technology Certificate and integrates a variety of assistive technology accommodations and applications to support individuals with diverse needs across home, school, community, and workplace settings. 


Lead Physical Therapist 

Dr. Kelly Abrams, PT, DPT 

As the Lead Physical Therapist at Bright Star, Dr. Kelly Abrams brings extensive experience, clinical expertise, and a collaborative spirit to supporting school-aged students and the therapy team. She is deeply passionate about helping children reach their full potential through movement, strength, and functional independence. 

Dr. Abrams is dedicated to promoting functional independence, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and empowering students to achieve their fullest potential in both academic and daily life settings. With her strong clinical background, compassionate approach, and dedication to student success, she is a valued leader and an exceptional addition to the Bright Star family. ngs.

Dr. Abrams earned her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. She began her career specializing in Manual Orthopedic Physical Therapywhere she spent more than 18 years helping individuals restore movement, strength, and function. With over 24 years of experience in the field, she has developed advanced expertise in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, emphasizing individualized, evidence-based care. In addition to her clinical specialization, Dr. Abrams is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).She integrates principles of strength training, coordination, and functional movement into her therapeutic approach to meet each child’s unique needs. 


Administrative Assistant 

Karen A. Henry 

Karen A. Henry joined Bright Star OT & PT, PLLC in 2025 as an Administrative Assistant. She supports school district staff and therapists through effective communication, documentation management, and the coordination of human resources and billing. Karen brings experience in special education and a strong background in organization and collaboration to her role, fostering teamwork across programs. 

Bright Star OT & PT provides consultants who have experience in school-based occupational and physical therapy. These therapists provide care and utilize their expertise to provide high-quality services.
